MPH 6040 - Public Health at the Human-Animal Interface This course explores the intricate relationship between human and animal health, focusing on zoonotic diseases and their significant impact on public health. Students will explore the intricate relationship between humans, animals, and the environment, emphasizing the role of zoonotic pathogens in shaping global health challenges. The course will cover the environmental and socio-economic factors that contribute to the emergence and spread of zoonotic diseases, including agricultural practices, wildlife interactions, and urbanization. Through a comprehensive examination of epidemiology, transmission dynamics, and the One Health approach, students will gain a deep understanding of the complexities involved in managing zoonotic disease risks.
