EN 3086 - Creative Nonfiction Writing Workshop

This course is a 3000-level workshop that will provide students an opportunity to explore how elements of composition like metaphor, plot, and characterization operate in nonfiction narratives. Creative nonfiction is an incredibly popular form used to communicate academic research to the broader public, to write memoirs, and for “cultural influencers.” In this course students will learn the theoretical underpinnings of creative nonfiction and how elements of style apply to fiction and nonfiction alike. 3-credits lecture.
