SA 3217 - Polymerase Chain Reaction PCR Methods is a course where students learn the fundamental biology that underpins the polymerase chain reaction and use that knowledge in the application of PCR to answer qualitative and quantitative questions in the Life Sciences. Practical aspects of PCR, use for both qualitative (yes/no) applications and quantitative applications are introduced. Students will develop and trouble-shoot a quantitative PCR assay to address a question or problem in the Life Sciences.
