Delaware Valley University’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program is a 5-semester program with a fall start. All courses and content are delivered 100-percent online with a combination of asynchronous and synchronous learning for each course. Faculty implement a flipped-classroom model providing students with opportunities to learn via lecture and readings at their own pace and participate in experiential learning during synchronous class time. Clinical education begins in the first semester using online simulated cases. In each subsequent semester, students will receive a placement near their residence and one teletherapy placement to develop their clinical skills, further their learning, and fulfill ASHA’s clinical hour requirement. DelVal’s clinical director secures placements for each student in the cohort so students do not have this burden. Following completion of the program and clinical hours, students graduate with the ability to obtain their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) after they have completed their clinical fellowship. Our faculty members have expertise in multiple areas of speech-language pathology including: child speech and language disorders; adult speech, language, and cognitive disorders; and voice disorders. We proudly accept both traditional and non-traditional students. Applications are reviewed holistically and in an ongoing process.
