PLANT SCIENCE
The Department of Plant Science offers a Bachelor of Science degree in crop science, turf management, sustainable agriculture systems and horticulture. The B.S. in horticulture offers a specialization in commercial crop production and marketing.
Graduates with a degree from our Department of Plant Science are able to:
- Work in field production
- Work as a crop advisor/crop consultant or government agent
- Work in agricultural product sales and marketing, research, or agricultural educator
- Attend graduate school
- Work in greenhouse and nursery production, wholesaling, brokerage, florist and garden center management
- Work as golf course superintendent, sports turf manager, lawn care manager, grounds manager, sod production manager, sales and service, and research and instruction
