LA 2040 - Modern History of Western Societies This course provides a comparative history of modern Western civilization, beginning with the era of scientific, political and industrial revolutions, since the 16th century. Through the discussion and analysis, the student should gain a deeper understanding of the modern Western world and how it came to evolve.
