ES 3222 - Equine Exercise Physiology Students will study the physiological responses to exercise and training in normal horses. This course involves a survey and the critical evaluation of the current concepts regarding the physiological and environmental factors associated with exercise in the horse. Physiological adaptations are applied to practical training situations so that students understand the basic requirements of training programs and are equipped with the knowledge to carry out exercise testing in order to monitor fitness.
Prerequisite(s): DS 3118 - Anatomy and Physiology of Animals or ES 3217 - Equine Anatomy and Physiology .
