EN 3055 - English Renaissance and Enlightenment Literature The course emphasizes the inventiveness and humanism of the Renaissance period in dramatic and poetic works. The shift to satire, the essay, and the invention of the novel are discussed in the second part of the course. Major writers such as Shakespeare, Milton, Pope, Swift, and Johnson will be emphasized.
Prerequisite(s): EN 1101 - English I and EN 1201 - English II or EN 1211 - Advanced English II .
