LAES 2004 - Soils An introductory course in soils exploring the concepts and terminology of soil development, soil formation and composition, and the physical, chemical and biological properties and processes in soils. Soil classification, soil conservation, and nutrient systems are also introduced. Chemical and physical properties as they relate to environmental concerns are reviewed. Laboratory demonstrations and exercises parallel selected portions of the lecture material.
Prerequisite(s): CH 1001 - Chemistry Fundamentals or CH 1103 - General Chemistry I or permission of Instructor.
