CH 3125 - Physical Chemistry I


This course examines the fundamental principles of thermodynamics, covering key topics such as gaseous properties, kinetic molecular theory, thermodynamic laws, calorimetry state functions, physical transformations, colligative properites, solutions and mixtures, phase diagrams, activity coefficients, electrochemical cells and chemical equilibrium. Two hour lecture and discussion, two credits.

Prerequisite(s): CH 2220, MP 2121 and MP 2219 or MP 2224 Co-requisite: CH-3125L

Note: This course is to be taken concurrently with the CH 3125L - Physical Chemistry I Laboratory .
