LAES 2004 - Soil Science In this course, students will explore the principles of soil science and its significance. Students will engage with concepts and terminology related to soil development, formation, and composition, as well as the physical, chemical, and biological properties and processes in soils. The course will also connect soil properties to productivity, conservation, and sustainability, highlighting the critical role of soils in food production, water quality, and environmental health. By the end of the course, students will gain an understanding and appreciation of soils and their influence on global environmental health and various academic and professional fields. This class fulfills the Scientific Inquiry ISK.
Co-requisite: LAES 2004L Soil Science Lab
