CH 1103 - General Chemistry I

This course introduces the fundamental principles of chemistry, covering atomic structure, periodic trends, molecular nbondig and geometry and solutions. Additional topics include ionic and covalent compounds, the mole concept, chemical equations, stoichiometry, major types of chemical reactions, solubnility rules, thermochemistry and gases. Three hour lecture, three credits.

Prerequisite(s): High School Chemistry Co-requisite: CH-1103L and MP 1102

Note: This course is to be taken concurrently with the General Chemistry I Laboratory.
