CJ 2100 - Victimology This course will explore the causes and consequences of victimization within the United States. Specifically, this course will provide a foundational framework for understanding why people are victimized and the complex relationships and interactions between those impacted by crime and the criminal justice system. In doing so, opportunities for crime prevention are highlighted. Topics covered in this course include the impact of trauma, resilience, recurring victimization, and emerging topics within the field of victimology (e.g., victim-offender overlap, bullying, hate crimes, human trafficking, school shootings, restorative justice)
