IT 2219 - Applied Data Visualization

In Data Visualization with Tableau, students will learn the fundamentals of designing data-based visualizations, how to spot misleading and untruthful visualizations, and how to use Tableau, the industry leading data visualization software. This course is hands-on, allowing students to design usable dashboards using real-world datasets from Uber, The New York Times, U.S. Census Bureau, and more. Lectures are flexible and will take place online. You will then attend a live discussion with your instructor and classmates each week. Students will receive a Tableau Specialist credential upon successful completion of the course. This course may count for E360 credit and students should discuss with their department chair.
