BY 3120 - Marine Biology

This course is a study of marine environments including physical, chemical and biological components. Emphasis will be placed on the diversity of marine organisms and how they have become adapted to varying conditions in different marine ecosystems, from the harsh coastal intertidal environments all the way to the deep abyssal plains. Students will learn how humans impact marine ecosystems and discuss current and projected marine environmental problems.
