SLP 6040 - Articulation and Speech Sound Disorders This course includes a comprehensive overview of normal and disordered aspects of articulation and phonological development, including childhood apraxia of speech. Students will analyze and synthesize information related to theories on etiology, characteristics, cultural considerations, and evidence-based prevention, assessment, and treatment approaches. Students will demonstrate and apply their knowledge through the creation and critique of assessment and treatment plans for clients with speech sound disorders. 3 credits
