EN 3420 - Women’s Literature

Women’s Literature is a literary survey course where students will learn the historical, cultural, and artistic importance of text produced by and/or for women. Students consider the intersections of gender, class, race, and sexuality in text and how the subject position of “man” or “woman” shapes literature, philosophy, and the meanings we make. Students practice and apply these skills through the production of reflective, nuanced writing and textual analysis. This course satisfies the literature requirement. 3 hours Lecture and Discussion - 3 credits This course can be substituted for EN 2028 Introduction to Literature.
