ES 1000 - Equine Orientation

The Equine Program Orientation in August is a required three-day session that acquaints new students to the Equestrian Center and Breeding Center, instructors, horses, and procedures. Please do not confuse this Equine Program Orientation with the university-wide Orientation (Welcome Weekend), which is a separate program required by the Office of First Year Experience.  During the university wide orientation, students become acquainted with campus services, complete academic placement tests, and attend an information session about registration procedures.  Equine Department students will not meet for individual advising, but Equine faculty will be available to meet with students and answer any questions.
