BY 4206 - Microbial Diversity

An advanced microbiology course that covers the wide range of biological diversity among Bacteria and Archaea. The ecological significance of bacteria and the contributions that they make to the various environments they inhabit, such as the gut microbiome or thermal hot springs, will be investigated. The lab will focus on current techniques used to study microbial diversity.
