LAES 1301 - Plant Health Management

Plant Health is designed to acquaint students with pest identification, monitoring and management techniques in horticultural and agronomic crop systems with an emphasis on organic practices. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) concepts and plant heath promoting practices will be illustrated by direct observation and student experience.

Through field-based exercises students will become familiar with monitoring, identification and forecasting techniques used in the management of insect, disease and weed pests commonly found in the Northeastern U.S.
